12 for the price of 1? Whatever do you mean? It’s an amazing deal, that’s what.

That’s right folks. Killer Year is on the road again, hitting Thrillerfest in New York this weekend! Last year we were a group in it’s infancy, full of cock and promise, not quite sure what the year ahead would bring. Willing to try anything and everything. We’ve grown up a bit, that’s for sure. Twelve of the thirteen of us will be in New York for the conference this weekend. (May we please have a moment of silence to commemorate the sad fact that our lovely and talented Gregg Olsen won’t be able to attend? He will be sorely missed.)

Thrillerfest 2007 marks the first occasion where (almost) all of us have been under the same roof at the same time. Think the Big Apple will ever be the same? I seriously doubt it. We’ll be doing a photo shoot for the Killer Year Anthology too, so watch this space for the pictures.

We’re even in the auction! One lucky winner will walk away with a goody basket of Killer Year signed novels, a T-shirt, and a chapbook of all our first chapters, available only to independent booksellers before this momentous occasion.

So to bring a little bit of New York to you, we’d like to do a giveaway here on the blog. Send your name to me at jtellison@jtellison.com. I’ll do a scientific algorithm (names in a hat) and pick one lucky winner to receive a copy of the chapbook. This is a real collectors item. And to sweeten the pot, I’ll bring it along with me to Thrillerfest, and get a personal message from every Killer Year member in attendance. (Then I’ll mail it to our holdout and get his signature, too.)

Get your names to me no later than Friday 13th at noon. I’ll check my email from the hotel, pick a winner, get the requisite signatures, and contact the winner. Announcements will be made following Thrillerfest. Remember, this contest is only for people who aren’t attending the conference!

Good Luck. And we’ll see you on Thursday!

God, I’ve never been called lovely in my life. Or talented, for that matter. Have a great time, guys. NY will never be the same.
