For those unfamiliar with the guy, Barry Eisler is:

1. A kick-ass thriller writer.

2. A very good friend to Killer Year.

3. An all-around great guy.

But for the purpose of this post, let’s just focus on #1.  Barry writes a series of pulse-pounding thrillers featuring John Rain, a half-Japanese half-American assassin.  An assassin with a soul, who wrestles with the moral implications of his job.

The latest in the series, Requiem For An Assassin, is a book you should read.  And over at CHUD, Cameron Hughes is giving away two copies – one signed by Barry, and the other signed with a personal message to the winner.  So scoot on over to CHUD, and enter the contest.

We now return you to your regular program, already in progress…

Amen, brother. Brilliant writer, fantastic guy, and a real asset to the mystery community. Enter the contest AND buy a copy. Hell, buy two.

Congrats on your NYT slot, Barry!

Many thanks, Sean… good to know that these long days of multiple bookstore visits can actually have an effect! See you at Tfest and all the best.
